Long Thanh Airport Fast Track Price: What to Budget

No Long Thanh price list exists yet. Here is what arrival fast track costs at Saigon's Tan Son Nhat today, with dated figures, to budget from.

The short answer

Nobody has published a Long Thanh fast track price that can be checked against an operating airport, because Long Thanh has not opened to the public yet. In a review of published provider price lists on 10 October 2026, none of them showed a Long Thanh line. What does exist is a clear market range for the same service at Vietnam’s working airports, and that range is the sensible thing to budget from.

For a standard arrival fast track at Tan Son Nhat (Saigon), the listed prices ran from 22 to 59 USD per traveller, with a median of 35 USD. Treat that as a reference range for planning, not as a forecast of what Long Thanh will charge. The rest of this page explains where the range comes from, why it is so wide, and what to check before paying anyone.

What the market looked like on 10 October 2026

The figures below come from a check of fifteen fast track providers that were tracked that day. Ten of them publish an arrival price for Tan Son Nhat (SGN), and eight publish a departure price. All amounts are US dollars per traveller, for a daytime flight and one or two travellers, taken from each provider’s public list price before any tax or surcharge.

Service at Tan Son Nhat Lowest Median Highest Providers
Standard arrival 22 35 59 10
First tier above standard (often called VIP) 45 56 159 10
Standard departure 35 47.5 65 8

For comparison, the same check found a standard arrival median of 35 USD at Hanoi, 31 USD at Da Nang and 33 USD at Phu Quoc. The airports are priced close together, so the city you land in matters less than the tier you pick and the provider you choose.

Prices change without notice, and providers update their lists on their own schedule. Anything quoted here was true on the date above and may not be true on the day you read it.

Why a standard arrival ranges from 22 to 59 USD

Three things explain most of the spread.

The word “standard” is not standardised. One provider’s entry tier is an assistant who meets you at the aircraft door and walks you to the immigration hall. Another’s is the same walk with a priority lane included, and a third sells the lane as an extra. Always compare what the tier includes, not what it is called.

Some prices are per group, some per person. A few lists step the per-person price down for larger parties, for example from 30 to 25 USD when four or more travellers book together. Others quote a flat price for one to four travellers and a lower one for five to ten.

Tax and surcharges are often added later. In this check, some lists stated that value-added tax of around 8 to 12 percent was not included. Some added a Saigon surcharge of 10 to 15 USD. Others added a night supplement, from a flat 5 USD to about 10 USD more for a night arrival. The headline number is the start of the sum, not the end.

Extras that change the total

The extras seen in the same lists are worth knowing about before you compare totals.

  • Children. Several providers discount children, either half price or free depending on the age band, and some charge nothing for infants under two. Cut-off ages differ between providers, so check each traveller’s age against the rule.
  • Baggage help. A porter or luggage add-on was listed between 12 and 20 USD.
  • A car from the terminal. Private cars were listed from about 15 USD for a four-seat car, with larger vehicles costing more. Compare that with the options in the Long Thanh transfer guide, because the road leg is where most of the time and money goes.
  • Top-tier packages. The highest tiers on the lists, sold under names such as VVIP or CIP, were priced from about 185 to 365 USD. Ask for the exact contents before comparing them.

What to expect at Long Thanh specifically

Three things make Long Thanh different from the airports in the table.

First, the airport is still moving toward commercial operation. The opening timeline describes trial operation and a proposed December 2026 start, and the dates have moved before. Ask any provider what happens to your booking if your flight is switched between Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat. The comparison of the two airports explains how to confirm which one your ticket uses.

Second, the terminal is far larger than the ones most passengers know, so the walk from the aircraft to the exit is long. Whether that justifies the cost depends on your situation. A fit solo traveller landing at midday may not need help. A family, a late-night arrival or a tight onward plan is a stronger case, and fast track for families and late-night arrivals cover both.

Third, a new airport has no track record. Price is one test. Another is whether the provider can tell you, specifically, where their assistant will stand and what happens if your flight is early, late or reassigned.

Questions to ask before you pay

  1. Which airport and terminal is the price for, and does it apply to Long Thanh?
  2. What exactly does the tier include: meeting at the aircraft door, an escort through each step, baggage help, a priority lane?
  3. Is the price per person or per group, and is tax included?
  4. Is there a night, weekend or airport surcharge?
  5. What are the rules for children and infants?
  6. What is the refund or rebooking rule if the flight moves to another airport or another day?
  7. Does the price cover arrival only, or arrival and departure?

Fast track is an escort through the normal process, not a way around it. Passport checks and entry requirements stay with you and the immigration officer, and the official government sources are the place to confirm them before you fly. The step-by-step view of what the service does is on the fast track overview, and short answers are in the FAQ.

How to use these numbers

Pick the airport you expect to use, take the standard arrival median of about 35 USD per traveller, add the extras you actually need, then add tax and any night surcharge. That gives a realistic planning figure for a party of one or two. When a Long Thanh price is published by a provider you are considering, it should be easy to compare against that figure, and a number far outside it deserves a question about what is included.

This page will be updated when Long Thanh has an operating price to report.
